Recycle your old mobiles before 31 January to help a family struggling against poverty in Laos#

MobileMuster and Oxfam Unwrapped are asking Australians to recycle their old mobile this Christmas and New Year to help the environment and a family in need.

For every two mobile phones recycled*, MobileMuster will purchase a chicken through Oxfam Unwrapped for a family struggling against poverty in Laos.

For many families in Laos, life is a daily battle to obtain essentials, such as food and a source of income. A chicken can be an invaluable resource, providing eggs for food that can also be sold at the market giving people a regular source of income.

With more than 19 million old mobiles stashed away at home now is the perfect time to put all those unused mobiles back into good use by recycling them with MobileMuster.

MobileMuster hopes to collect and recycle enough mobile phones to purchase 2,000 chickens for families in Laos through the Oxfam Unwrapped program.

Recycling a mobile phone through MobileMuster is free, easy and safe. This one simple gesture will help to the environment and give a family in need a brighter start to 2012.
